| Missions Week
Missions' is a very significant event in the year for the COPF.
Each year, the COPF engages the members to support missions work through special offerings for the advancement of church planting initiatives in the world. The fruits of these offerings are made known through film and slide shows projected for the churches in the Diaspora. A week is thus set apart to commemorate and honour field missionaries whose efforts contribute to the propagation of God's word to the unsaved in remote regions and to see how new churches are being planted.
It bears the name of the founder of the Church of Pentecost, the late Reverend McKeon. McKeon Week is celebrated in all satellite churches, to motivate and remind us of our commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission.
Easter Convention
This event is always held in late March or early April to honour and recognize Jesus Christ's resurrection and His glorious promises of eternal life for all who believe in Him.This is an event that evokes our commitment to uphold the principles of the Christian faith symbolizing the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. His resurrection gave final and irrefutable proof that He is really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all.Various activities and retreats, including prayer and fasting are held in all the districts to accentuate what this event means to us as a collective body of Christ.
Women's Extended Activities
Each week, throughout the year, the women's movement organises workshops and programs aimed at helping women discover Biblical principles through innovative Bible study with drama, panel discussions and relevant teachings from a woman's perspective. These events provide women with the tools they need to meet the challenges of providing for families, husbands and careers.
A special program of activities stretching for a week is set aside in the year to support and honour women in the church in recognition of their effort in reaching out to women with the gospel, to disciple them in God's word with a view to modelling transformed and holy lifestyles.
The Church considers the Women's Week a vital event to encourage and support women in their pursuit of a deeper relationship with God so that they will be better equipped for life and ministry alongside their brothers and to strengthen and extend the Kingdom as expressed in the vision and mission of the Pentecost Church.
We invite you to experience the joy of spiritual growth in Christ as well as growing in relationship with other women in the Church.
Fathers Day Activity (PEMEF)
The Men's Ministry of the Church creates an environment for men to contemplate and meditate on development issues aimed at affirming the unity we have in Christ. Men are consistently challenged to uphold the dignity of fellowship in the church with a view to finally attaining a state of sanctity. It is for this reason that we believe developing strong, godly men is best accomplished in settings where men can be honest, open and transparent with themselves and one another.
Men are equipped to develop godly character in leadership, built through ongoing training, encouragement and pastoral leadership, with relevant and effective resources and tools that will help them reach their goals.
The vision of the church is substantiated with this all-embracing Men's Fellowship Week that highlights the progress men have made so far in the year.
This year, we honour the men with a week-long programme of activities.
National Executive Concil Meeting
The COPF National Council meets every January and July. It consists of some 60 members drawn from the district churches, and co-opted delegates. At the Council meeting the work of the Church and issues facing it are reported on and discussed. The Council works in conjunction with the National Executive and through a series of committees which oversee the work of Mission, Ministry and other specialist areas.
