This Ministry is considered the catalyst to the church, the membership of which forms the next generation of champions for Christ. In light of this recognition a Week is set apart in the year as "National Youth Week." This is a period to connect the congregation to the youth of our Church. We distinguish four vital connections in helping the youth and young adults become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ: "National Youth Week" enables the Church to highlight and make these connections through special worship services. This is a great opportunity for the youth and young adults to demonstrate their love for God in the body of Christ. The current leader of the Ministry is Deaconess Gifty Awuah-Kyeremanteg of the Paris International Worship Centre, with Elder Sampson Birikorang acting as Patron and National Treasurer. The COP offers many opportunities for the youth to interact and fellowship, not only with youth programs in Church but also activities throughout the school year. As we work together and develop new resources for our youth programs, we trust the Lord will strengthen us to accomplish our goal.
Young Adults Club The youth ministry makes provision to reach out to students, young couples, and young adults in early career, and professionals who may not otherwise have an opportunity for Christian fellowship. This group meets every weekend for Bible Study, and meal, a channel through which we believe anyone could be drawn to discover the Bible and God. Special activities, such as excursions or fellowship picnics, serve to strengthen relationships within the group. Other activities include sports, interactive social activities and health related disciplines. We seek to offer a nurturing, creative, loving, and safe community of faith for each young person in our churches. The young adults Club is a place where the young can explore the various unfolding dimensions of their life and faith and ask any questions that may arise. Through conversation, worship, prayer, games, food, Bible study, and relaxing fun, youth are invited to deepen their faith and be part of building up the body of Christ in community. |
